Ash is a practicing organizational psychologist, clinical psychologist, and counselor with experience and exposure in corporate and NGO settings. He is also actively involved with NGOs targeting special populations as an advisor and psychotherapist working with women, LGBTQ+, and HIV key populations.
Ash provides individual and couple therapy on various mental health, sexuality, career, and relationship issues. His areas of interest are mental health issues surrounding sexuality, HIV/AIDS, STI/STD, relationships, career/personnel development, and gender-based violence.
Ash completed his PhD at Universiti Malaya, Master in Managerial Psychology, Master of Counselling at Open University Malaysia, and Master of Clinical Psychology at University of Cyberjaya. His doctoral research focuses on types of coping strategies used to manage mental health issues due to the stigma of sexual identity and HIV among LGBTQ people in Malaysia.
Ash’s professional affiliations are with the Malaysian Allied Health Professional Council (MAHPC[CP]00131), Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (CP1-0436), and the Lembaga Kaunseling Malaysia (KB/PA, 07817/07369).
