Wai Sim is a clinical psychologist in training, currently pursuing her Masters in Clinical Psychology at HELP University. She is trained in managing depression and anxiety through cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Wai Sim conducts individual psychotherapy sessions, addressing a wide range of clinical issues for clients from diverse backgrounds. She also administers psychological assessments for both adults and children, aiding in treatment planning and diagnostic processes. As a member of a multidisciplinary team at Hospital Selayang’s Pain Clinic, she collaborates with medical doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and pharmacists to support comprehensive case management for patients.
Passionate about advocating for underrepresented communities, Wai Sim has joined the Signing Angel Fraternity, dedicating herself to serving the Deaf Community in Malaysia. She has completed all three levels of the Bahasa Isyarat Malaysia (BIM) courses at RC Deaf Missions and actively participates in signing roles across various contexts, including workshops and courses.
Wai Sim's experience with children dates back to 2012 when she worked as a teaching assistant in a kindergarten. She later served as an assistant coach in a children’s leadership academy and an instructor in a children’s enrichment program during her internship. With over two years of experience as a behavior therapist for children with special needs, Wai Sim continues to expand her expertise in this area.
