Agnes specializes in working with families of children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Specific Learning Disorder, using the behavioral approach. She also specializes in using cognitive behavior therapy to help individuals manage pain and caregivers of children with chronic illnesses, to manage psychological distress.
She speaks on advocacy for children with health issues, special needs, effective communication and behaviour management.
Agnes is a senior lecturer for the Master in Clinical Psychology program at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She is also a practicing clinical psychologist at the Health Psychology Clinic, UKM and visits the Pain Management Clinic of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM) monthly.
Agnes completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology and PhD at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, focusing on children with Specific Learning Disorder and caregivers of children with cancer, respectively.
Agnes’s professional affiliations are with the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (MSCP), Malaysian Association for the Study of Pain (MASP), Malaysian Psychological Association (PSIMA) and International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP). She is also a part of the ASEAPS Paediatric Pain Network (APPN).
