Kho Ya Fen is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about supporting individuals through life's emotional and psychological challenges with empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based care. She believes that every individual has unique strengths and that therapy provides a safe and supportive space for self-exploration, healing, and personal growth.
She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from IMU University and completed her clinical training at the IMU Mind Health Centre and Psycle Consultancy and Training. During her training, she gained valuable experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing psychotherapy under professional supervision to adolescents and adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem issues, and emotional regulation challenges. She has a special interest in supporting individuals navigating family and relationship concerns.
Ya Fen adopts a warm, collaborative, and client-centred approach to therapy, tailoring evidence-based interventions to each individual's unique needs and goals. She integrates approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while striving to create a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work towards meaningful and lasting change.
