Samantha Tian is a practicing Clinical Psychologist with a keen interest in specializing to provide therapy for trauma-related disorders, depression, anxiety, and neurodevelopmental disorders. She is professionally affiliated with the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology and is a registered Clinical Psychologist under the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC).
Currently, Samantha is a Clinical Psychologist at Lets Grow Sdn Bhd, where her responsibilities primarily focuses on child and adolescent client which include administering psychological tests, conducting assessments, and providing individual and group therapy. In the educational sector, she addresses student behaviour, creates Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and implements them with tailored teaching methods.
Samantha has conducted numerous workshops for parents, particularly focusing on managing challenging child behaviour and understanding autism. In these workshops, she educates parents on effective behavioural management strategies, helping them understand the underlying causes of their child's challenging behaviours. She provides practical tools and techniques for addressing these behaviours in a constructive and supportive manner. Additionally, Samantha offers guidance on fostering better communication and building stronger relationships with their children.
For parents of children with autism, her workshops cover essential aspects of understanding autism spectrum disorder, its impact on behaviour, and how to create supportive home environments that cater to the unique needs of their children. Samantha is also an active volunteer, serving as a crisis team helpline member with the Mental Illness Awareness and Support Association (MIASA).
